23 May 2010

Updated Version 8 June:
Morning to Tamsui. Went to a missionary university. Oxford. It was constructed by George Leslie Mackay, a Canadian missionary. Made notes n sketches. The architecture is a mix of occidental & local features. For example the structure had a king post beam
with bracing and topped with a traditional Chinese roof.
It also featured coloured windows. We also went to Tamkang High school, also within the compound. It had a mini boulevard in front of the school linking the road, unlike Malaysian schools, which will have a field/basketball court in front of it. Further rain limited our journey.

Bus facilities is... not bad, but the driving is terrible.
Then we went to a 138ntd eat til full restaurant. zomgwtfbbq it is
awesomeness!!! had a LOT of great
food! =D

Then next stop was yet again halted due to torrential rain. Went to gugong museum @ 4.30pm. It was huge; designed to mimic the Forbidden City in
Beijing. Took some photos but it closes at 5pm. So we did not go thru it anyway. Then to taipei underground night market. It is actually a tunnel linking metro stations underground.

Then long journey back to Zhongli. Extreme
ly tired!!
